About MMCH

Overview

Margaret Mary Community Hospital is a not-for-profit critical access hospital providing inpatient and outpatient services.  MMCH is in Batesville, Indiana, conveniently located off I-74 between Cincinnati, Ohio and Indianapolis.  MMCH serves a population of more than 65,000 residents in Ripley, Franklin and surrounding counties.

The hospital provides a broad scope of services including 24-hour emergency, family-centered maternity, outpatient rehabilitation, home health, hospice and oncology.

MMCH is the the third largest employer with about 520 total team members.  The medical staff includes 36 full-time active physicians and more than 20 visiting/courtesy physicians.

MMCH is licensed by the Indiana State Board of Health (ISBH) and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).  The hospital's most recent three-year accreditation was awarded in June of 2003.  MMCH is also accredited, certified or licensed by:  the College of American Pathologists (CAP); the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC); the ISBH as a Screening Mammography Service site; the Indiana Board of Pharmacy; and the American College of Radiology (ACR).  The Home Care department is licensed by the ISBH and accredited by JCAHO.

Margaret Mary Community Hospital is approved for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.
