Cardiac Rehab
The goal of Cardiac Rehab is to assist patients in resuming active, productive lives as soon as possible following a heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, valve replacement surgery or stent placements. Our program can help you to:
- Develop a regular exercise program.
- Form healthy eating habits.
- Stop smoking.
- Lose weight.
- Reduce your cholesterol intake.
- Control your blood pressure.
- Understand current medications.
Located on the second floor of the hospital's 1932 building, our facility offers state-of-the-art equipment, including treadmills, bicycles, arm ergometers, recumbent steppers, rowing machines and free weights. Cardiac Rehab operates under the direction of a physician who serves as medical director, a registered nurse who oversees patients, an exercise specialist, social workers, dietitians and other health care professionals. Our team works closely together to develop individualized plans depending on your personal needs.
Your cardiologist, surgeon, family doctor or internal medicine doctor can make a referral for cardiac rehab. To view pictures of our Cardiac Rehab facility, click here.
