Hospital Services
Maternity Services
Babies are special to us at “New Beginnings.” Our obstetric nurses and support staff are dedicated to providing a healthy and caring environment for you and your baby. Our outstanding physician team of ob/gyn specialists, family practitioners, pediatricians and anesthesiologists has the experience and training to care for newborns and mothers.
Mother/Baby Care Program
During your stay, we suggest mothers keep their babies with them as much as possible. Our staff will show you and your husband how to feed, bathe, diaper and care for your infant so you’ll feel comfortable when you return home. Fathers are encouraged to spend the night during your stay, and food trays are available for Dads upon request. Additionally, we have two certified lactation consultants on staff if you need help breastfeeding.
Our Amenities
Click here to view pictures of our beautiful maternity unit. We are especially proud of our newly updated, home-like Labor-Delivery- Recovery (LDR) suites and private postpartum rooms. Our four LDR suites are equipped with central monitoring systems so our maternity staff can keep a close watch on you during labor. During delivery, members of our support staff are also available to assist your doctor as needed. All members of the OB staff are certified in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and all of our registered nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Additionally, we have a C-section delivery suite and Level II Nursery located right in our maternity unit.
Following a short recovery period, mother and baby are moved to one of our six private postpartum rooms, complete with a daybed for Dad, private bathroom, TV and DVD player and rocking chair. During your stay, our massage therapist is available to offer infant massage for your baby, as well as a complimentary massage for you. All newborns also receive an advanced hearing screening prior to discharge.
Flexible Visitation
As part of our family-focused approach to maternity care, we offer a flexible visitation program for family members and friends. To prevent the spread of germs to our newborns, the only children under the age of 12 permitted to visit are siblings. To protect your baby from possible abduction, our advanced infant security system provides a sensitive alarm system, as well as a special lock-down feature on all maternity doors.
