Emergency Services
Since emergencies can happen at any time and require immediate medical attention, Margaret Mary Community Hospital's Emergency Services Department is physician-staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In 2009, MMCH renovated and expanded its emergency services department. Double the size of the old space, the new ESD offers patients more spacious rooms and improved privacy. The department also has a beautiful, new waiting area, three triage/registration rooms, a private family consultation room and children’s area.
The ESD includes a total of 12 treatment rooms, consisting of the following:
- Five general rooms
- Three major trauma rooms
- Two fast-track rooms
- One OB room
- One pediatric room
Our specialized treatment areas and modern technology enables our emergency medicine team to respond quickly and efficiently to emergency needs. Emergency helicopter transport is available from our hospital campus.
MMCH is serviced by local EMS and paramedic squads and our ESD team works closely to provide the highest level of emergency care. MMCH also serves as a clinical training site for EMS and Paramedics.
Our emergency team is continuously training to maintain the skills required to treat all conditions ranging from pediatric trauma to advanced cardiac life support.
