PULL! for Margaret Mary is a charity trap and skeet shoot which benefits the Margaret Mary Health Foundation. The event will be held at Tri-County Coon Hunters, 4417 N. Coonhunters Road in Batesville from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Hospital Changes Name
Margaret Mary Community Hospital has recently changed its name to Margaret Mary Health. With multiple offsite locations, specialty services and new physicians on staff, the word “hospital” no longer describes all that Margaret Mary does.
“We’ve been a great community hospital for more than 80 years, but along the way, we’ve become more than just a hospital,” said Margaret Mary president, Tim Putnam. “The name Margaret Mary Health better represents who we are and what we do.”
Expanded Urology Services
Margaret Mary is excited to announce that Dr. Paul Jarvis is now providing full-time urology coverage in Batesville.
Urologists have specialized training regarding problems of the male and female urinary tract and the male reproductive organs. Common conditions he treats include enlarged prostate, infertility, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction and urinary tract infections/cancers.
Health Foundation Launch
On Dec. 6, more than 150 community and business leaders gathered at The Hansen Center for the formal launch of Margaret Mary Community Hospital’s Health Foundation. Meet Dr. Cooper
Dr. Howard Cooper is now seeing cancer patients at The Hansen Center. As a hematologist/ oncologist, he treats all types of cancers and cares for patients with blood disorders. He comes from IU Health Central Indiana Cancer Centers in Indianapolis.
When asked about coming to The Hansen Center, Dr. Cooper says he’s excited about working with such a supportive team where one common theme is obvious … treating the patient. He and his wife, Dr. Amy Hoffman (a Margaret Mary emergency services physician) have three children. The couple was drawn to this area because of its strong sense of community and quality health care services.
