Integrative Medicine combines traditional medical treatments with complementary and alternative medicine to treat diseases, reduce side effects and reduce stress. MMCH offers the following services:
Complimentary massages and comfort touch services are available for patients undergoing cancer treatment, as well as new mothers and their infants on our OB unit. Massage provides significant therapeutic benefits. Scientific research shows that massage reduces heart rate, lowers blood pressure, relaxes muscles, improves range of motion, relieves stress and boosts the immune system. For cancer patients, massage therapy can reduce pain, anxiety, nausea, fatigue and depression.
Under the direction of Edward Negovetich, MD, MMCH offers acupuncture at the Outpatient Rehab Center on State Road 129 in Batesville.
